People covered by Medicare have the right to:

  • Delay your discharge from a hospital
  • Request more time for therapy
  • Ask questions or complain about your medical care

The Medicare Program contracts with FMQAI as the Quality Improvement Organization to help people exercise their Medicare rights, as listed above, and to help improve health care in Florida.

For help with your Medicare rights or to ask questions about your rights, call the FMQAI toll-free number (866) 800-8768. To learn more, view the FMQAI website at www.fmqai.com. There is no cost for using FMQAI services.
