About AHCA

The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (Agency) licenses and regulates health care facilities and health maintenance organizations (HMOs) in Florida and is the chief health policy and planning group for the state.  The Agency also manages the Florida Medicaid Program that provides health care to low-income and disabled citizens.  

The mission of the Agency is to champion accessible, affordable, quality health care for all Floridians.  FloridaHealthFinder.gov was created to help achieve this mission.  The website provides health care information and data that will help consumers make informed health care decisions.
